# What is the FedEx invoice I received?

The invoice you received is **not related to the shipping fee**. The shipping fee you paid us has already been fully settled with FedEx before your package was shipped.

In most cases, the invoice is about **Custom Duty, Tax, or Tariffs** imposed by your country’s government when citizens purchase goods from abroad.

As shown in the screenshot of our checkout page, FedEx shipments are sent under **DAP (Delivered At Place)**, which is listed as *Standard Delivery (Duties & Taxes Excluded)*. This means **duties and VAT are not included** in the shipping fee. You may need to pay local customs charges upon delivery, depending on your country’s regulations and import thresholds.

### **Why am I being charged?**

Each country has its own laws and regulations regarding imports.

* The **rate and type of charges** vary depending on local customs rules.
* These rules can change regularly, so the amount may differ from shipment to shipment.
* On the FedEx invoice, you will usually see a breakdown of the **charge type and rate**.

If you have questions, you can:

* Contact **FedEx customer support** directly for clarification.
* Review the **current customs regulations** of your country.

### **Who is responsible for customs charges?**

FedEx shipments from us are always sent under **DAP (Delivered At Place)** terms.

This means **customs duty and tax are the buyer’s responsibility**. FedEx collects these charges on behalf of your government.

### **How can I avoid customs delays and charges?**

For future orders, you may choose **Spaceship Air (DDP)**:

* **DDP (Delivered Duty Paid)** means we pay all customs duty and tax **in advance** for you.
* This method covers all charges on our side, so you won’t receive a separate FedEx invoice.
* It is the best option for most **US customers** and **EU customers**, as it helps avoid customs delays and unexpected charges.
