The latest 12V-2x6 "H++" power connector recently made debut on the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 SUPER series GPUs and offers slightly higher power delivery versus the existing 12VHPWR "H+" connectors.

The new 12V-2x6 power connector is fully compatible with the 12VHPWR connector. In essence, the new 3.1 connector appears almost identical, is fully interchangeable, and can perform all the functions of the old connector, but with enhancements in safety and efficiency. Specifically, the power pins have been extended by 0.25mm to enhance connection reliability by enlarging the contact surface area and reducing temperatures. Additionally, the signal pins have been shortened by 1.5mm to ensure users have an easier time fully plugging in the connector to achieve the safest, most reliable connection.
Custom Tailor-made 12VHPWR Direct Cables
There are basically 12 types of 12VHPWR modular cables for plugging into PSU and GPU directly.
If you are using a traditional ATX 2.0 modular PSU (without 12VHPWR port on the PSU) and RTX40 GPU, then you should use the first type (3 x 8pin to 12VHPWR 16pin).
If you are using the new ATX 3.0 modular PSU (with 12VHPWR port on the PSU) and RTX40 GPU, then you should use the native 12VHPWR to 12VHPWR cable. 12VHPWR pinout is universal, so native 12VHPWR cables are compatible with all ATX 3.0 PSUs with 12VHPWR port.
